You are viewing a go kart before go karts.I purchased this from an 77 year old fellow named Eric Idle ten years ago.This was thrown together for him in 1937 by his father the owner and fellow workers at Egg Harbor Yacht Company in NJ.It has an early brigs rope start engine and crude frame.You can not stop the car since they never added any braking.You have to use your feet to slow down and disengage the clutch.It does have a cable throttle and bumper for good measure.The tires are solid rubber Firestones.It also lacks floorpans.This is so unsafe its cool.It is hard to place a price on a something thrown together with shit paper and toothpicks in 1937.The seatback has compass work from some layout plywood from the boatyard.A true piece of piney ingenuity.Call me at 609 390 0995 for any questions,ask for Joe.
