Vintage Continental 1/4 Midget Engine 1/2 Go Kart Kurtis Racecraft Red Seal

I got this for an old go kart project and the go kart is long gone. I do not know anything about these engines except that they were used in 1/4 midgets, 1/2 midgets and go karts.

The engine is very complete and mounted on an old oak board. The planetary gear set is broken as the picture shows. What I would call the sun gear is broken and the pieces are missing. There appears to be no other damage to the shafts or housing. Please look carefully at the pictures or ask additional questions.

This should be a great addition to a vintage 1/4 midget restoration.
