Vintage West Bend Gokart Fairbanks Morse Go Kart Recoil Starter Nos

One old vintage pull starter / recoil that I’m pretty sure came off an old West Bend two cycle engine.

It’s in real good condition, looks almost new, except that there appears to be leftover gasket material on it and some small nicks.

The four mounting screw holes are not threaded, Not sure if it uses self-threading screws or what, they’re about 1/8″ diameter.

See my pictures. It’s wound to start the engine counter-clockwise. It’s about 4″ in diameter. Mounting holes spaced 2-1/2″ apart.

Pretty sure this item bolts to an adapter ring that then bolts to the engine.

The starter dogs and contact parts also fit the Fairbanks-Morse “Kwik-Kick” Kick Starter.
